SIX AMERICAN FILM FESTIVAL DOCUMENTARIES WITH WATCH DOCS NOMINATIONS

Six of the films nominated in Wroclaw will be shown in December during the 18th edition of WATCH DOCS in Warsaw.

“Three Identical Strangers” is an unbelievable story of triplets separated after birth and later on subjected to a psychological experiment. “The Gospel of Eureka” depicts a double life of an eponymous town, known on one hand for passion plays and on the other – for a rich, local queer scene, all a day before an important plebiscite concerning the discrimination ban. “Give Us This Day” is the newest production of Zimbalist brothers, portraying the daily life-or-death struggle in American South St. Louis – the most dangerous city in the world. “Alt Right. The Age of Rage” analyzes the growing popularity of the American far-right in Trump times, and “Behind the Curve” serves as a fascinating portrait of enthusiasts propagating on-line the notion that the Earth is flat. While “Time for Ilhan” offers an optimistic look at the Western democracy, registering an energetic electoral campaign of a young American girl of the Somali descent in Minnesota.
