The subject of Rina Castelnuovo-Hollander and Tamir Elterman's film is a brave young child who is suffering from a rare disease of the immune system. He had to undergo a serious operation shortly after birth; to save his life, doctors decided to amputate his limbs. That wasn't the end of Muhi's problems, however, as the boy is from the Gaza Strip, where nobody is able to provide him with adequate medical care. Thanks to the help of doctors and activists, he has been living in an Israeli hospital for seven years with his grandfather, who does not have a visa or work permit and is not allowed to leave the clinic. Problems with documents and innumerable checks on both sides of the border make it practically impossible for Muhi's parents to visit. Muhi is doing the best he can: fortunately, he is not entirely aware of all of the nuances of the situation. The filmmakers show, in a very delicate manner, the everyday life of a boy whose fate takes on a symbolic status.
